Payment information

Payments are made through the website's checkout and processed by the relevant payment service provider. We receive information about the payment, such as whether it succeeded, the amount and the payment method type.

3. Why we use your information

  • To process your order: confirming it, processing payment, arranging fulfilment and delivery, and issuing GST invoices.
  • For returns, exchanges, cancellations and refunds.
  • For customer support: answering your questions, requests and complaints.
  • For fraud prevention and security: protecting you, our website and our business from fraud, misuse (including misuse of Cash on Delivery) and unauthorised access.

We process your information either because you have given consent, or because the law allows us to process it for a specific legitimate purpose. For example, we process information you voluntarily provide to buy a product in order to fulfil that purchase, and process information to comply with the law.

4. Who we share information with

We share only what is needed for the purpose, with:

  • Shopify: our website and checkout run on Shopify, which hosts the website and stores order and customer information on our behalf. Shopify's own processing is described in the Shopify Privacy Policy.
  • Payment service providers: to process prepaid payments and refunds.
  • Logistics and delivery partners: to deliver orders and collect returns, including collecting payment for Cash on Delivery orders.
  • Service providers we use to run our business, such as email, messaging, customer support, analytics, advertising, and accounting or business software providers, only if and when we use them, and only for the purposes in this policy.
  • Government authorities, courts or regulators, where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal data. [LIST OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS, to be updated when payment, logistics, analytics, marketing or messaging services are connected]

5. Consent and withdrawing consent

Where we rely on your consent, for example for marketing emails, you can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by writing to hello@shopsueve.com. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. It does not affect processing already carried out, and it does not affect processing we are required or allowed to carry out without consent, such as completing an order you have already placed or keeping records required by law.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

  • give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
  • correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • erase your personal data, unless we need to keep it for a legal purpose, such as tax records;
  • address a grievance about how we handle your data;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or are unable to do so.

To make a request, write to hello@shopsueve.com or to our Grievance Officer (section 11). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the website to work, for example to keep items in your bag and complete checkout. Shopify, which runs the website, also uses cookies to provide its services and its built-in store analytics.

If we add further analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy, and ask for your consent where required. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the website, such as the bag and checkout, from working.

8. How we protect your information

We take reasonable security measures to protect your information, including relying on Shopify's hosting and secure (HTTPS) checkout, and limiting access to the people and service providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Order, invoice and payment records are kept for the period required under applicable tax, accounting and other laws. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

10. Children

The Sueve website is intended for adults. Under Indian data protection law, anyone under 18 is a child. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
